Nature walks along Norsminde Fjord

Norsminde Fjord was designated as a wild life reserve in 1942 and is important as a resting place during migration and as winter quartering. Between 8.000 to 10.000 birds visit the reserve during the migratory season, mostly water hens.

Together with these are found many different species of wild duck and other wading birds.

Health path

The path starts at the bridge across the Odder Å stream by the "Åparkeringen" car park and follows the stream wherever possible. The path is made up of two "loops"; one to the east, approx. 3.6 km, and one to the west, approx. 2 km. The Heart Foundation's distinctive sign marks each kilometre walked along the route which is also sign-posted with arrows.

The Nature Trail

Take a walk along the old railway line
A scenic nature trail exists along what was part of the old railway line between Odder and Horsens. Some stretches of the way are elevated well up over the sur-rounding countryside, while other stretches are cut deep into the terrain, which makes for a very varied tour along the six-kilometer pathway.

You may also cycle along the path but parts of the way are very uneven. There are small parking places at various points along the pathway.
