Saksild Beach Saksild beach is flypapered every summer by thousands of sun- and waterlovers. Still you can find a spot for an old-school picnic in the green area called "the triangle". From here you can enjoy the view of the Århus Bay, Tunø and Samsø and easily enjoy a swim in the pure waters after eating.
The Bjørnkær RuinsClose to Gersdorffslund and Hou in Vandmose forrest are the "secret" Bjørnkjær Ruins, still pretty much unnoticed by visitors to the forrest. Not even locals are very aware of this unique green spot. The area is fenced and the children can safely recreate the viking age, while adults enjoy the breath of history at the ruins.

Sondrup BeachLocated to Horsens inlet Sondrup Strand is a secluded area with benches. Spread out a blanket and enjoy the view to Alrø - Danish idyl at its best.
The NaturepathThe old railwaytrack between Odder and Horsens, today known as the naturepath, invites you to find your own little area and enjoy the tranquility. A good point of departure is the old station in the village of Bilsbæk.
TrustrupAt the small village of Trustrup it is possible to enjoy your packed lunch with a panoramic view of the area from the village vantage point.
TunøThe island offers plenty of possibilites for an outdoor lunch along the path running the length of the island. Or you can choose to settle at the tables and benches at the harbour and take in the heart of the small island.
Odder MuseumFollow the path behind the museum, running parallel to Rosensgade. The playground behind the museum is highly suitable for a picnic allowing the children to play undisturbed.
Kysing BeachHave a picnic at the tables along the beach by the parking place and enjoy your food with the most fantastic panoramic view of Kattegat.
Hou BeachLook for the Blue Flag by the beach close to the road "Villavej". here you will find a small playground, tables, benches and toiletfacilities in the shadow of the forrest.
